We know you are all patiently waiting so we are excited to announce that the time has finally arrived! It's the ScrapScription CHA TOP TEN PICKS! Once again we were awed and amazed by all of the great product releases from your favorite companies! And maybe even a surprise or two - stay tuned for Part 2 for more info on that!
Here are our favorite CHA finds (in no particular order) ---
You know how much we love Bella! And Stephanie and her team did not disappoint in the least this show! Everytime we walked past her booth it was jam packed with people - which is a great sign! We worked our way in on Day One to get a private tour of her six - yes six! - new lines. And the one that really spoke to us was Socialite.
Not your ordinary "birthday/celebration" kinda line. In fact it reminded me a little of 80's fashion with its bold yellows, turquoise, red and black combos. Add in the over the top graphic images including the black party dress and the martini glasses and you've got a retro party waiting to happen.
2. KI MEMORIES - POCKETS AND CLIPS
We here at ScrapScription are long time fans of KI Memories. In fact, I use to be able to name each collection of theirs by name and in the order they were released. But that's a whole other obsession! So when we read that KI was going back to their roots with their new Over The Rainbow release we were intrigued for sure!
Our favorite pieces of this new multi-colored, basic, functional line were the Pockets and the Clips! We loved that the pockets were already folded and assembled and contained adhesive backings. But most of all we loved the sizes they came in - including 5x5 and 3x3! How perfect for our mini albums!
The Clips were just too yummy for words. Gorgeous, creamy buttons of all different shapes and varieties popped onto the end of a big silver paperclip! Again, great for seperating and adding to a page in one of our albums!
3. PINK PAISLEE'S HOUSE OF 3 CANVAS 8.5 X 11 ALBUM WITH ASSORTED PAGE PROTECTORS
Okay, so Pink Paislee made our last list in the winter show for their new canvas Artisan albums but this show they "kicked it up a few notches". With their new release with House of 3, they have brought us the most gorgeous 8.5 x 11 canvas album perfect for embellishing and including an adorable brushed silver handle on the front.
But what we loved loved loved the most were the awesome page protectors inside! Each one is a different size and type of page protector - some 8.5 x 11, some pockets, some hold nine 2x3 mini papers! We loved all the possibilities these page protectors brought to mind!
4. OCTOBER AFTERNOON - MODERN HOMEMAKER AND CAMPFIRE LINES
Another huge hit for October Afternoon! What is it about their style that just sucks you in??? They have the perfect balance of retro and modern, cute and stylish, basic and designer.
Most of all we loved that two of their paper lines filled voids in themes we have been trying to do for some time now - recipe and outdoors!
We fell in love with the adorable kitchen paper in the Modern Homemaker line including the adorable chipboard pieces and the other coordinating embellishments.
And then there was the Campfire line again with the cutest images of outdoor life done in a gorgeous chipboard and fun embellishments like the flair badges.
Truly a home run for October Afternoon!
5. BAZZILL'S NEW CARDSTOCK SWATCH BOOK aka LORI'S FAVORITE!
So many of you might not have even heard of a Bazzill swatch book but for Lori this is one thing that she can't live without! It basically is a series of little pieces of cardstock cut in small squares and bound together in one corner like a paint swatch book you'd get from Sherwin Williams. Every color, texture and type of cardstock that Bazzill makes is represented in the swatch book.
So why is this so important to you? This is the mechanism Lori uses to match all of the cardstock that comes in your kits to the patterned papers in each album. There have been many late night debates on which colors to choose for a particular kit and it is always so frustrating when we pick colors only to find out that Bazzill has discontinued them.
We were told at the last show that they were updating their swatches and we were so happy to have come across this entire new format for the swatch book! We love the ringed binder that it comes with and the fact that the swatches are more than doubled their original size! So let the color matching begin!
