It was just as hot in Chicago for CHA Summer 2011 as it was in central Ohio. Not only was the weather sizzling, but the new products were on fire! The vendors never ceaseto amaze us with their incredibly creative booths. They have a great way of displaying their products that make us want to buy one of everything! But we stayed on task and stuck to the plan. We worked together as a team, hit the showroom floor with a purpose and found some amazing products.
So without further adieu…we know the anticipation has been unbearable…here is our CHA SUMMER 2011 TOP TEN LIST. Remember - these are in no particular order and while we’d love to bring you every single thing, the Top Ten list is just a sampling of some of the products you may see in future ScrapScription kits.
1. PINK PAISLEE - VINTAGE VOGUE
Do you remember Collage Press? Their creator and designer has teamed up with Pink Paislee to create this wonderful new line. We really liked how the black popped against the pastel pinks, greens and blues. The ribbon trims, paper rosettes and ephemera are show stoppers in this collection.
2. WE R MEMORY KEEPERS - SEW RIBBON
We all loved the Sew Easy floss system when it was released last year. We R Memory Keepers has done it again with the Sew Ribbon. This handy dandy little system makes weaving ribbon on your paper quick and easy. It comes in six designs and their clever ribbon needles make the actual stitching a breeze. They also sell ribbon available in six color families with 2 yards each in velvet, twill, and grosgrain ribbons.
3. OCTOBER AFTERNOON - FARMHOUSE
October Afternoon always delights, and at the summer show they stayed true to what works for them. Adorable images, beautiful colors that coordinate well even when mixing lines, and tons of possibilities for some really cute projects.
4. MAYA ROAD - EMBELLISHMENTS
Maya Road has such a huge assortment of treasures that we spent hours in their booth oohing and aahing at all the scrumptious goodness. Trims galore in so many textures and colors, mists, acrylics, chipboard, coasters, mini albums, flowers, pins and many other trinkets. We liked how the Maya Road elements were so versatile and add dimension and interest to projects.
5. AMERICAN CRAFT - AMY TANGERINE:
One of the most talked about products at CHA this summer was the Amy Tangerine Collection from American Crafts. These eye catching products drew people into their booth, with a great display of projects and well, Amy herself. The collection was inspired by Amy's own loves: travel, cameras, and a bit of vintage. There are 24 different designs of paper, some of them fabric papers, as well as stickers, stamps, Thickers, and flair, all in colors perfect for everyone. And although there are some travel-themed items, the overall feel is that the collection is universal to almost any theme.
So there you have it! The first 5 from our TOP TEN FAVORITES! Leave us a comment below and let us know which item you like the best and why. On August 25 we'll pull one winner from all the comments left to win a cool CHA Summer 2011 prize pack! Whoo hoo!!!!
Be on the lookout for Part 2 of our Top Ten list next week!

I really like the We R Memory Keepers ribbon sewing system. I love the sewn look on pages but I don't want to get my sewing machine out to do it. I can take any paper line I already have and spruce it up with a little sewing. This looks like a fabulous product and one I am going to put in the "must have" category.

love it all but if I had to pick just one.. it would be maya road. Been a fan for so long and was lucky enough to go to CHA a few years back when I taught at my local scrapbook store and their booth kept me hostage for hours.. drooling over every little mini book that had new creative treasures on every page telling me "you need this!" :) thanks for the chance
